Chief Security Officer

FEMA is seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Security Officer to join our team and take the lead in protecting our organization and its personnel against potential security threats. The successful candidate will bring an innovative and analytical mindset to this role, as well as an unwavering commitment to safety and security.The Chief Security Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing FEMA’s strategy for physical and cyber security, crisis management, emergency preparedness, and security training. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in physical and cyber security; this includes experience in developing and managing security policies, managing security personnel, and developing security training programs. The ideal candidate will have a background in law enforcement, the military, intelligence, or homeland security.
