  1. Conduct assessments and analysis of damaged infrastructure and buildings in disaster-affected areas.
  2. Develop and implement plans for the repair, reconstruction, and improvement of critical infrastructure and buildings.
  3. Collaborate with other team members and external stakeholders to coordinate and prioritize engineering projects.
  4. Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members and local officials on engineering-related issues.
  5. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
  6. Review and approve engineering plans and designs for rebuilding and repair projects.
  7. Monitor and track the progress of engineering projects and provide regular updates to superiors and stakeholders.
  8. Identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks in disaster recovery and rebuilding efforts.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with local and state agencies involved in disaster response and recovery.
  10. Provide technical support and guidance to communities and individuals affected by disasters.
  11. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and advancements in the field of civil engineering.
  12. Adhere to all FEMA policies and procedures, as well as relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  13. Maintain accurate and detailed records of engineering projects, expenses, and resources utilized.
  14. Represent FEMA at meetings, conferences, and other events related to disaster response and recovery.
  15. Serve as a role model for professionalism, dedication, and commitment to service in times of crisis.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Civil Engineering, Preferably In Disaster Response And Recovery

  • Knowledge Of Relevant Codes And Regulations, Including Fema Regulations And Guidelines

  • Experience Working With Diverse Teams And Stakeholders, Including Government Agencies And Community Organizations

  • Strong Technical Skills In Design, Construction, And Project Management, Including Proficiency In Software Such As Autocad And Gis.
