
Contract Specialist
In this position, you will be responsible for soliciting, evaluating, negotiating, awarding, administering, analyzing, advising on, and terminating contracts for the procurement of supplies and services. You will also be responsible for reviewing junior Contract specialist actions up to the point of signature and training contract specialist, program offices and contractors on the appropriate federal contracting procedures. Examining and evaluating of a contractor's cost estimates or price proposals to determine the necessity and reasonableness of proposed contract costs. Monitoring and administering contract performance after a contract is awarded to ensure proper progress, negotiating any modification to a contract, and to ensure that contract activities are completed. Leading training, and advising junior Contract Specialists.
Knowledge of contracting principles, policies and procedures.
Experience drafting contracts and legal documents
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and timelines
