  1. Coordinate and implement emergency response plans for natural disasters, terrorist attacks, and other emergencies.
  2. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and the general public.
  3. Lead and direct emergency response teams in high-pressure situations.
  4. Stay up-to-date on emergency management principles, protocols, and best practices.
  5. Collaborate with other emergency management specialists to develop and update response plans.
  6. Oversee and manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and supplies, during emergency response operations.
  7. Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards in order to develop effective response strategies.
  8. Keep accurate records and reports of emergency response activities.
  9. Provide guidance and training to community members and organizations on emergency preparedness and response.
  10. Work closely with local, state, and federal agencies to ensure a coordinated and efficient response to emergencies.
  11. Stay current on changing regulations, policies, and procedures related to emergency management.
  12. Represent FEMA and the emergency management profession at conferences, workshops, and other events.
  13. Remain on-call and be ready to respond to emergency situations at any time.
  14. Contribute to the development and implementation of post-disaster recovery plans.
  15. Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards while representing FEMA and the emergency management field.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management, Public Administration, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Experience In Emergency Response Or Disaster Management.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Federal Emergency Management Policies, Procedures, And Regulations.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Coordinate And Lead Response Teams.
