  1. Develop and maintain data infrastructure using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL to support Fidelity Investments' financial technology solutions.
  2. Utilize deep understanding of Oracle databases and programming languages to design, implement, and troubleshoot data solutions.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex data challenges.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in software engineering and data management.
  5. Continuously improve and optimize data processes and systems to ensure high performance and scalability.
  6. Create and maintain technical documentation for data engineering processes and procedures.
  7. Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  8. Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  9. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  10. Actively participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  11. Mentor and share knowledge with junior team members to promote continuous learning and growth.
  12. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  13. Adhere to company security and compliance policies and procedures.
  14. Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and deliver high-quality solutions on tight deadlines.

Job Qualifications

  • Expertise In Oracle Sql And Pl/Sql: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Oracle Database Architecture And Extensive Experience In Writing Complex Sql Queries And Stored Procedures Using Pl/Sql.

  • Knowledge Of Data Warehousing: Fidelity Investments Deals With Large Volumes Of Data, And The Candidate Should Have A Good Understanding Of Data Warehousing Concepts, Including Etl Processes, Data Modeling, And Data Integration.

  • Experience With Performance Tuning: As A Software Data Engineer, The Candidate Should Have Experience In Optimizing Sql Queries And Database Performance. This Includes Knowledge Of Indexing Strategies, Query Optimization Techniques, And Database Monitoring Tools.

  • Familiarity With Data Security: Fidelity Investments Takes Data Security Very Seriously, And The Candidate Should Have A Good Understanding Of Data Security And Access Control Measures. Knowledge Of Oracle Database Security Features, Such As Encryption And Auditing, Is A Plus.
