- Conduct thorough evaluation and analysis of potential commercial real estate loans to determine their credit worthiness and adherence to bank policies and regulations.
- Utilize strong knowledge of the real estate market to assess the viability and profitability of commercial real estate loan applications.
- Collaborate with loan officers and other team members to gather necessary information and documentation for loan underwriting.
- Ensure all loan files are complete and accurate, with all necessary documentation and information.
- Review and analyze financial statements, tax returns, and other relevant financial information to determine the risk associated with each loan.
- Identify and communicate potential risks or concerns related to loan applications to management.
- Stay updated on changes in lending policies and regulations, and ensure all loans adhere to these guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all loan underwriting activities and decisions.
- Provide clear and concise recommendations on loan approvals or denials to management.
- Communicate effectively with loan officers, borrowers, and other stakeholders regarding loan decisions and any additional information needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry trends and best practices in commercial real estate underwriting.
- Uphold the bank's commitment to providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Collaborate with other departments within the bank, such as credit risk and legal, to ensure a thorough and efficient loan underwriting process.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture by sharing knowledge, providing support, and promoting a strong work ethic.
Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Real Estate, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Commercial Real Estate Underwriting.
Strong Understanding Of Financial Analysis And Risk Assessment For Commercial Real Estate Loans.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Commercial Real Estate Lending.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Borrowers, Lenders, And Other Team Members.
