  1. Safely navigate research vessels: The Alternate Research Boat Captain will be responsible for safely operating and navigating the university's research vessels, ensuring the safety of all passengers and crew on board.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Marine Biology, Oceanography, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience As A Research Boat Captain In A Marine Research Setting.

  • Proficiency In Operating And Maintaining Various Types Of Research Vessels, Including Small Boats And Large Vessels.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Protocols And Regulations For Operating Research Boats In Various Water Conditions.

  • Ability To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Research Team Members, As Well As Handle Logistics And Scheduling For Research Trips.
