
Health Communications Specialist
The Food and Drug Administration is looking for an experienced and talented Health Communications Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, the successful candidate will contribute to the development and implementation of health communication strategies, initiatives, and materials that will help to educate the public and build awareness of the FDA's mission.The ideal candidate for this role should have a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field, with at least 5 years of professional communications experience. They should also have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, be organized and detail-oriented, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.We are looking for someone who is passionate about public health and has a strong understanding of the FDA’s mission. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of stakeholders. Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement health communication strategies, initiatives, and materials for public education and awareness of the FDA’s mission • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to manage and execute communications projects • Maintain a strong understanding of the FDA’s mission and stay up-to-date on current public health topics • Prepare and review communication materials, including press releases, website copy, and social media content • Monitor media coverage and analyze data to measure the success of communications initiatives • Create presentations for internal and external audiences • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and policies
