- Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their produce needs and inquiries.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all produce products, including their availability, pricing, and nutritional information.
- Ensure the produce department is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing for customers.
- Monitor and rotate produce products to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Assist with unloading and stocking produce deliveries.
- Keep track of inventory levels and communicate any low stock or out-of-stock items to management.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safety and quality of produce products.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Continuously learn and stay updated on new produce products and industry trends.
- Participate in store promotions and events to promote and increase sales of produce products.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Knowledge Of Produce: A Successful Produce Sales Associate At Food Lion Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Different Types Of Produce, Their Harvesting Seasons, And Proper Storage And Handling Techniques.
Customer Service Skills: This Position Requires Interacting With Customers On A Daily Basis, So Excellent Customer Service Skills Are A Must. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Friendly, Approachable, And Able To Provide Helpful Recommendations And Suggestions To Customers.
Sales Experience: The Role Of A Produce Sales Associate Is To Increase Sales And Promote New Or Seasonal Products. Therefore, Having Previous Sales Experience Or A Natural Ability To Upsell And Cross-Sell Is Important.
Physical Fitness: Working In The Produce Department Requires Lifting And Carrying Heavy Boxes And Crates, Standing For Long Periods Of Time, And Frequent Bending And Reaching. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Demands Of The Job.
Attention To Detail: Produce Must Be Carefully Inspected For Quality And Freshness Before Being Displayed On Shelves. A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Spot And Remove Any Damaged Or Expired Products Is Crucial To Maintaining The High Standards Of Food Lion.
