2. Ensure that all produce items are fresh and of the highest quality by regularly inspecting and rotating product to prevent spoilage.
3. Create visually appealing displays of produce to attract and entice customers.
4. Assist customers in selecting the best produce items for their needs by providing knowledge and recommendations.
5. Keep the produce department clean and organized at all times, including regular cleaning and sanitizing of work areas and equipment.
6. Receive and accurately record inventory shipments, and assist in inventory management to prevent overstocking or shortages.
7. Collaborate with team members to coordinate and schedule produce deliveries and ensure timely and efficient restocking.
8. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns or complaints in a friendly and professional manner.
9. Continuously expand knowledge of produce items, including seasonality, varieties, and nutritional information, to better assist customers and provide accurate information.
10. Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
11. Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the produce department.
12. Uphold company policies and procedures, including pricing and promotional guidelines, to ensure consistency and accuracy.
13. Act as a brand ambassador for Food Lion by representing the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.
14. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support the overall success of the produce department and store.
