Additive Manufacturing Engineer
Take responsibility for developing advanced computational tools for additive manufacturing process optimization. Provide the Additive Manufacturing Research Team with support in the digital thread including: FEA modeling and simulation, structural dynamics analyses, design optimization, development of parametric generative design guidelines. Take responsibility to implement machine-learning models to aid the various aspects of AM process work stream. Participate in FEA modeling and simulation of AM process to microstructure; microstructure to properties; optimized design to performance. Take responsibility for designing 3D printed applications using design rules for relevant additive manufacturing processes, developing industry-specific design rules, integrating design rules into the digital thread for additive manufacturing. Redesign existing applications for part consolidation, shape optimization, cost optimization. Support team in 3D printing, materials development and process development.
