  1. Develop and implement strategies for promoting positive employee relations throughout the organization.
  2. Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate potential legal risks.
  3. Create and maintain a collaborative and inclusive work environment through effective conflict resolution and management.
  4. Serve as a subject matter expert on employee relations, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
  5. Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to develop policies and procedures related to employee relations.
  6. Conduct investigations into employee complaints and grievances, ensuring a fair and unbiased process.
  7. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees and managers on best practices for fostering positive employee relations.
  8. Proactively identify and address potential employee relations issues before they escalate.
  9. Build strong relationships with employees at all levels to promote open communication and trust.
  10. Lead and mentor a team of employee relations professionals, providing guidance and support in their roles.
  11. Continuously assess and improve organizational culture to create a positive and productive workplace.
  12. Collaborate with external partners, such as labor unions, to ensure positive relationships and effective negotiations.
  13. Regularly communicate with senior leadership to provide updates on employee relations matters and recommend solutions for improvement.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Employment Laws And Regulations: A Director Of Employee Relations At Ford Motor Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Federal, State, And Local Laws Related To Employee Relations, Including But Not Limited To, Equal Employment Opportunity, Discrimination, Harassment, And Labor Relations.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Involves Communicating With Employees At All Levels Of The Organization, As Well As External Stakeholders. The Director Of Employee Relations Must Be Able To Effectively And Professionally Communicate Complex Information And Handle Difficult Situations With Tact And Diplomacy.

  • Experience In Employee Relations And Conflict Resolution: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Handling Employee Relations Issues And Effectively Resolving Conflicts. This Includes Conducting Investigations And Providing Guidance To Management On How To Address And Prevent Potential Issues.

  • Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Director Of Employee Relations At Ford Motor Is Responsible For Developing And Implementing Policies And Procedures Related To Employee Relations. They Must Have The Ability To Think Strategically And Proactively Identify Potential Issues And Provide Solutions To Address Them.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: As A Leader In The Organization, The Director Of Employee Relations Must Have Strong Management Skills And The Ability To Lead And Develop A Team. They Should Have Experience In Managing Projects And Initiatives, As Well As Coaching And Mentoring Team Members To Ensure The Success Of The Employee Relations Function.
