- Conduct thorough and comprehensive testing of electrical hardware, including circuit boards, wiring harnesses, and electronic control units.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot any issues discovered during testing.
- Use specialized equipment and tools to perform electrical tests and analysis, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and data loggers.
- Document and report test results and provide recommendations for improvements or modifications.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in electrical testing and apply them to improve testing processes.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards during testing.
- Work closely with design engineers to provide feedback and suggestions for enhancing the design and functionality of electrical systems.
- Train and mentor junior engineers in testing techniques and procedures.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in testing procedures.
- Manage and maintain test equipment and ensure it is calibrated and functioning properly.
- Participate in design reviews and provide valuable insights and suggestions from a testing perspective.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
- Take ownership of testing projects and see them through from start to finish.
- Represent Ford Motor and uphold the company's standards of excellence and innovation in all testing activities.
Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Engineering Or Related Field
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Electrical Hardware Testing And Validation
Proficiency In Industry Standard Testing Equipment And Software, Such As Labview And Matlab
Strong Understanding Of Automotive Electrical Systems And Components
Experience In Leading And Managing A Team Of Engineers And Technicians In A Fast-Paced Environment.
