  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive model risk management framework for investment and trading activities.
  2. Conduct ongoing reviews and evaluations of financial models to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure model validation and approval processes are in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  4. Monitor and track model performance and make recommendations for enhancements or changes as needed.
  5. Lead and oversee the development and implementation of new models, including documentation and testing.
  6. Act as a subject matter expert on model risk management, providing guidance and support to other teams and departments as needed.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry developments and changes in regulatory requirements related to model risk management.
  8. Prepare and present reports to senior management and stakeholders on model risk assessment and mitigation efforts.
  9. Identify and address potential gaps or weaknesses in current model risk management processes and procedures.
  10. Mentor and train junior team members to ensure a strong understanding and adherence to model risk management policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Risk Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Risk Management, Preferably In The Financial Services Industry. This Experience Should Include Model Risk Management, Quantitative Analysis, And Financial Modeling.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Investments And Capital Markets: The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Investments And Capital Markets, Including Fixed Income, Derivatives, And Other Financial Products. This Knowledge Will Be Important In Assessing Model Risk For These Products.

  • Familiarity With Regulatory Requirements: As A Senior Manager In Model Risk, The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements And Guidelines Related To Model Risk Management. This Includes Knowledge Of Sr 11-7, Sr 15-18, And Other Relevant Regulations.

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, Including The Ability To Identify And Evaluate Complex Risks And Develop Strategies To Mitigate Them. This Will Be Crucial In Managing Model Risk And Ensuring Compliance With Regulatory Requirements.

  • Leadership And Communication Skills: The Candidate Should Have Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Concepts To Both Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders. This Role Will Involve Managing A Team And Collaborating With Various Departments, So Strong Leadership And Communication Skills Are Essential.
