  1. Manage and coordinate all major incidents that occur within the company, including identifying, tracking, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  2. Develop and maintain an incident management process to ensure consistent and effective handling of major incidents.
  3. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including internal teams, customers, and external partners, to provide updates and gather information for incident resolution.
  4. Analyze and identify root causes of major incidents and work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and prevent future occurrences.
  5. Prioritize and triage incidents based on their impact and urgency, ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately.
  6. Create and maintain detailed incident reports, documenting all actions taken and resolutions achieved.
  7. Collaborate with other teams to develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in major incident management to continuously improve our processes and procedures.
  9. Provide guidance and support to team members during major incidents, ensuring a coordinated and effective response.
  10. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the incident management team.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Managing Major Incidents: Candidates For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Managing Major Incidents In A Large And Complex Organization.

  • Strong Technical Background: A Deep Understanding Of The Technical Infrastructure And Systems Used At Freddie Mac Is Essential For Effectively Managing Major Incidents. Candidates Should Have A Background In It Operations And/Or Infrastructure Management.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Various Stakeholders, Including Senior Management, Technical Teams, And External Vendors. Candidates Should Also Have Strong Leadership Skills To Guide Cross-Functional Teams In Resolving Major Incidents.

  • Proven Problem-Solving And Decision-Making Abilities: The Ability To Think Critically And Make Quick And Effective Decisions In High-Pressure Situations Is Crucial For A Major Incident Management Professional. Candidates Should Have A Track Record Of Successfully Resolving Complex Issues And Minimizing The Impact Of Major Incidents.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Best Practices And Incident Management Frameworks: Candidates Should Be Familiar With Industry Best Practices For Incident Management, Such As Itil, And Have Experience Implementing These Frameworks In Previous Roles. Certifications In Incident Management, Such As Itil Foundation Or Pmp, Are Highly Desirable.
