Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Underwriting Analyst to join Freddie Mac’s team. Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of mortgage operations and excellent analytical skills. You will be responsible for developing and implementing underwriting strategies while working with colleagues to ensure compliance with all Freddie Mac policies and procedures.The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, as well as at least two years of experience in underwriting or mortgage operations. You should possess excellent problem-solving abilities, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement underwriting strategies that are in line with Freddie Mac’s policies and procedures.
  2. Analyze mortgage operations to identify any potential issues and recommend solutions.
  3. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure compliance with all Freddie Mac policies and procedures.
  4. Prepare detailed reports on underwriting activities and provide recommendations for improvement.
  5. Remain current with industry trends and best practices in underwriting and mortgage operations.
  6. Ensure timely and accurate completion of underwriting tasks.
  7. Monitor and review loan applications to ensure accuracy.
  8. Support the development and implementation of new underwriting processes and procedures.
  9. Maintain strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  10. Handle customer inquiries and concerns regarding underwriting and mortgage operations.
