Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Director, Labor Relations to join the Gap team and help drive our corporate labor relations strategy. This leader will be responsible for developing and sustaining labor relations strategies that align with our business and operations objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in labor relations, and will be able to navigate complicated labor and employee issues. They will have a strong focus on finding solutions that drive business objectives, and will be able to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, and will be able to lead and inspire their team in a fast-paced environment. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and will be able to effectively engage and influence key stakeholders. Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in labor relations, business, or related field • 10+ years of labor relations experience, preferably in a leadership role• Proven track record of successful labor relations strategy development and implementation • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders • Ability to lead and inspire a team of labor relations professionals • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to think strategically and execute quickly • High level of organization and attention to detail • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Experience in retail, apparel, and/or manufacturing industry a plus

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement labor relations strategies that align with the organization's business and operational objectives.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Lead and inspire the labor relations team in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Effectively engage and influence key stakeholders.
  5. Stay up to date on labor laws and regulations.
  6. Think strategically and execute quickly.
  7. Maintain high levels of organization and attention to detail.
  8. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite as necessary.
  9. Possess knowledge of the apparel, retail, and/or manufacturing industry (preferred).
