Actuarial Intern

Geico Auto Insurance is looking for a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our team as an Actuarial Intern. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a group of experts in the field and gain valuable knowledge and experience in the actuarial industry. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently while also being able to work in a team environment.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of mathematics and statistics, strong analytical skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. A degree in Actuarial Science, or a related field, is required for this position. Previous experience in the insurance industry, or related field, is a plus.

Responsibilities: -Analyze data and develop models to assess risk and identify cost-saving opportunities -Develop and modify actuarial models to determine premiums and rate structures -Perform research to improve corporate performance -Communicate and present actuarial findings to senior management -Document and maintain actuarial models -Develop and maintain actuarial databases -Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations -Mentor and train new actuarial team members -Collaborate with other departments to ensure data accuracy and consistency
