
Human Resources Intern
At Geico Auto Insurance, we’re looking for a Human Resources Intern who will support our HR team in all aspects of the department. We’re looking for a motivated individual with a passion for the HR field and a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be organized and detail-oriented, and have a strong understanding of the HR industry.We’re looking for someone who is eager to take on new challenges and eager to develop their HR skills. The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently, as well as part of a team. If you’re driven, detail-oriented, and have a desire to make a real difference in our department, we want to hear from you!Required Qualifications:• Currently enrolled in a related degree program in Human Resources or a related field• Previous experience or knowledge of the HR industry• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Strong organizational and time-management skills• Flexible and willing to take on new challenges
Responsibilities:
• Assisting with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and providing feedback to applicants • Updating and maintaining employee records, such as benefits, payroll, and attendance • Assisting with onboarding new hires, including orientation and employee onboarding paperwork • Researching, developing, and implementing HR policies and procedures • Assisting with employee relations issues, such as complaints and grievances • Participating in employee training and development programs • Answering employee inquiries and providing support to the HR team • Assisting with the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives • Conducting research on industry trends and best practices in HR • Performing administrative tasks as needed
