Cybersecurity and Privacy Intern

We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Cybersecurity and Privacy Intern to join our team at Grant Thornton. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the cybersecurity and privacy fields and to be part of a team of professionals dedicated to protecting our clients’ data and privacy. The ideal candidate should be passionate about technology and have a natural curiosity to uncover potential security vulnerabilities.To be successful in this role, you must have a strong knowledge of security threats, data security and privacy regulations, and a basic understanding of network security protocols. You should also have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Responsibilities:

1. Work with the team to identify and analyze potential security vulnerabilities in the network system.
2. Monitor and investigate security threats and incidents.
3. Develop strategies to maintain data security and privacy.
4. Assist with the implementation and enforcement of security policies and procedures.
5. Assist with compliance to applicable laws and regulations.
6. Monitor developments in the cybersecurity and privacy fields and provide updates to the team.
7. Provide technical support and guidance to team members.
8. Prepare reports and presentations on cybersecurity and privacy topics.
9. Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and workshops.
10. Perform other tasks as assigned.
