- Maintain and organize inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, restocking items, and conducting regular inventory counts.
- Ensure all merchandise is properly labeled and priced according to company standards.
- Receive and process new merchandise shipments, including unpacking, labeling, and tagging items.
- Keep stockroom and sales floor organized and visually appealing by following merchandising guidelines.
- Collaborate with sales associates and management to identify and restock popular items.
- Assist with setting up and executing store promotions and sales events.
- Conduct regular checks for damaged or defective merchandise and follow proper procedures for returning or discarding items.
- Monitor and report any discrepancies or stock shortages to management.
- Maintain knowledge of current fashion trends and product offerings to assist customers with their shopping needs.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist with other tasks and duties as needed to support the overall success of the store.
Previous Retail Experience: A Stock Associate At Guess Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Retail Environment, Preferably In A Similar Role. This Experience Will Demonstrate The Candidate's Understanding Of The Industry And Their Ability To Handle Stock And Inventory.
Excellent Organizational Skills: A Stock Associate Needs To Be Highly Organized In Order To Keep Track Of The Store's Inventory And Ensure That Products Are Properly Displayed And Restocked. They Should Be Able To Work Efficiently And Maintain A Neat And Orderly Stockroom.
Physical Ability: This Role Requires A Certain Level Of Physical Stamina As It Involves Lifting And Moving Boxes And Heavy Items. Candidates Should Be Able To Lift Up To 50 Pounds And Be On Their Feet For Extended Periods Of Time.
Attention To Detail: A Stock Associate Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure That All Products Are Properly Labeled And Displayed And That The Stockroom Is Well-Maintained. They Should Also Be Able To Spot Any Discrepancies In Inventory And Take Appropriate Action.
Strong Communication Skills: As A Stock Associate, You Will Be Part Of A Team And Will Need To Communicate Effectively With Your Colleagues And Other Departments. This Includes Providing Updates On Inventory Levels And Working Together To Ensure The Store Runs Smoothly.
