
Cooking School Sous Chef
The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Cooking School Chef. This person will assist with educating customers on how to cook with the high quality products, tools, and ingredients that we sell. Preps products for use in the cooking school. Teaches and/or facilitates Cooking School classes in an engaging manner. Delivers excellent customer service while assisting with teaching hands-on and demonstrative classes in the Cooking School, hosting private events in the Cooking School and catering special events. Assists with the development of recipes for use in the Cooking School. Effectively markets and sells Harmons’ products. Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner. Assist with the planning of menus and purchasing necessary ingredients. Sets a professional and positive example to others.
Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays
Must have current TIPS Certification and Food Handler’s Permit
Wide range of knowledge in food, ingredients, knife skills and cooking techniques
