This vital role will be responsible for leading and overseeing the development, implementation, and optimization of clinical informatics systems and processes across our organization.   1. Develop and implement a strategic plan for clinical informatics systems and processes across the organization.
  2. Oversee the optimization of existing clinical informatics systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  3. Lead the development and implementation of new clinical informatics systems to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of clinical informatics systems with other healthcare systems and processes.
  5. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in clinical informatics and recommend innovative solutions to improve patient care.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure their needs are met through clinical informatics systems.
  7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to clinical informatics systems, including HIPAA and other privacy laws.
  8. Provide leadership and direction to clinical informatics staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  9. Develop and manage the clinical informatics budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
  10. Collaborate with other organizational leaders to develop and implement policies and procedures related to clinical informatics.
  11. Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes to support the organization's overall goals and objectives.
  12. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the clinical informatics team.
  13. Serve as a subject matter expert for clinical informatics, providing guidance and support to other departments and teams as needed.
  14. Maintain awareness of emerging technology and informatics trends, and make recommendations for their incorporation into the organization.
  15. Act as a liaison between the clinical informatics team and other departments to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Healthcare Informatics Or Related Field: A Director Of Clinical Informatics At Hca Healthcare Should Have A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Or A Related Field. This Level Of Education Ensures A Deep Understanding Of The Principles And Practices Of Clinical Informatics.

  • Experience In Healthcare Technology Implementation: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Implementing Healthcare Technology Solutions In A Clinical Setting. This Experience Should Include Leading And Managing Large-Scale Projects, As Well As Working With Cross-Functional Teams.

  • Strong Clinical Background: A Director Of Clinical Informatics Should Have A Strong Clinical Background, Preferably As A Registered Nurse Or Other Healthcare Professional. This Experience Allows For A Deeper Understanding Of The Clinical Workflows And Processes That Are Essential For Successful Informatics Initiatives.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Standards: In Order To Ensure Compliance With Industry Regulations And Standards, The Director Of Clinical Informatics Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Healthcare Regulations Such As Hipaa, Hitech, And Meaningful Use. They Should Also Be Familiar With Relevant Clinical Data Standards Such As Hl7 And Fhir.

  • Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Leader In The Organization, The Director Of Clinical Informatics Should Possess Strong Leadership And Communication Skills. They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Different Stakeholders, Including Clinicians, It Professionals, And Executive Leadership. They Should Also Have Experience In Managing And Developing A Team Of Informatics Professionals.
