  1. Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients as directed by physicians or other medical practitioners.
  2. Ensure patient comfort and safety during the ultrasound procedure.
  3. Obtain and record patient medical history and explain procedures to patients.
  4. Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment and supplies.
  5. Review and evaluate ultrasound images for quality and accuracy.
  6. Communicate and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care and diagnostic results.
  7. Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols.
  8. Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation.
  9. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on advancements and changes in ultrasound technology.
  10. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive and professional demeanor with patients and their families.
  11. Adhere to departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  14. Attend departmental and staff meetings as required.
  15. Assist with scheduling and maintaining patient flow.
  16. Flexibility to work varying shifts and provide coverage as needed.
  17. Act as a resource for other staff and assist with training and mentoring new ultrasound technologists.
  18. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance patient care and department efficiency.
  19. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the performance of duties.
  20. Represent HCA Healthcare in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Ardms (American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography) Certification In Ultrasound.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience As An Ultrasound Technologist, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Proficiency In Using Ultrasound Equipment And Knowledge Of Various Imaging Techniques Such As 2D, 3D, And Doppler.

  • Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Patients And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Flexibility To Work On An As-Needed Basis, Including Weekends And Holidays, To Meet The Staffing Needs Of The Department.
