Chemist

Perform qualitative and quantitative chemical and physical analysis of raw materials and finished products. Serve as a subject matter expert in multiple areas of the Chemistry lab. Review/peer review testing results in laboratory notebooks and LIMS. Investigate and research out of specification results with LIRs for product and raw material release. Write chemical analysis procedures for incorporation into test methods. Assist junior chemists to run experiments for release and stability studies. Train with and assist Scientists with method trouble shooting, method development, and validation. Maintain equipment and troubleshoot equipment issues at an advanced level. Prepare standards and reagents; calibrate and operate sophisticated laboratory instrumentation such as HPLC, UPLC, FTIR, UV- Visible spectrophotometer, GC/MS, ICP, and ICP/MS. Interpret test results and compare with determined standards and limits. Interpret and compare data and historical records and trend verification.
