Job Description

Are you a highly skilled Linux System Administrator with experience in High Performance Computing (HPC)? Do you have a current Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph clearance? Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a talented individual to join our team as a High Performance Computing Linux System Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for HPC systems, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.   1. Manage and maintain HPC systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  2. Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization to ensure maximum efficiency.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions for complex HPC projects.
  4. Develop and maintain documentation for HPC systems, including standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in HPC technology to recommend and implement improvements and upgrades.
  6. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  7. Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and system availability.
  8. Monitor and maintain system security, including applying security patches and updates.
  9. Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades and migrations.
  10. Collaborate with vendors and external partners to resolve technical issues and optimize system performance.
  11. Utilize and maintain system monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential issues.
  12. Train and mentor junior team members on HPC system administration best practices and procedures.
  13. Adhere to all security protocols and regulations to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive data.
  14. Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management regarding system updates, issues, and project progress.
  15. Serve as the subject matter expert for HPC systems and provide technical guidance and recommendations to support business objectives.

Job Qualifications
  • Security Clearance: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Current Top Secret (Ts) Security Clearance With Sensitive Compartmented Information (Sci) Access And A Polygraph Examination.

  • Extensive Linux Experience: The Candidate Must Have A Strong Background In Linux System Administration, Including Experience With Redhat, Centos, And/Or Ubuntu Distributions.

  • High Performance Computing (Hpc) Knowledge: The Candidate Should Have In-Depth Knowledge And Experience With Hpc Systems, Including Cluster Management, Parallel File Systems, Job Schedulers, And Performance Tuning.

  • Scripting And Automation Skills: The Candidate Should Be Proficient In Scripting Languages Such As Bash, Python, Or Perl, And Have Experience Automating Tasks And Managing Large-Scale Systems.

  • Communication And Teamwork: The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Team, As Well As The Ability To Effectively Communicate Technical Information To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
