  1. Develop and implement open source security strategies and initiatives for the organization.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential security risks in open source software.
  3. Conduct thorough research and analysis of open source security trends and emerging threats.
  4. Stay updated with industry best practices and regulations related to open source security.
  5. Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of security controls and protocols for open source software.
  6. Work closely with development teams to ensure security is integrated into the software development lifecycle.
  7. Conduct security assessments and audits of open source software to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
  8. Develop and maintain documentation related to open source security policies, procedures, and standards.
  9. Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and training to team members on open source security best practices.
  10. Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate the security of open source software used in the organization.
  11. Participate in incident response and perform forensic analysis in the event of a security breach related to open source software.
  12. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of open source security controls and make recommendations for improvements.
  13. Communicate and report on open source security risks, incidents, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders and management.
  14. Proactively identify potential security risks and recommend preventive measures to ensure the security of open source software.
  15. Act as a liaison between the organization and the open source community to promote and contribute to the development of secure open source software.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Designing And Implementing Security Solutions For Open Source Technologies, Such As Linux, Apache, And Mysql.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Open Source Security Tools And Methodologies, Including Vulnerability Assessment, Penetration Testing, And Threat Modeling.

  • Strong Understanding Of Open Source Licensing And Compliance Requirements, Including The Ability To Navigate Complex Licensing Structures And Provide Guidance To Development Teams.

  • Proven Track Record In Developing And Implementing Security Policies, Procedures, And Standards To Ensure Compliance With Industry Regulations And Best Practices.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Present Complex Security Concepts To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
