
Nurse Practitioner, GI Services

- Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients with gastrointestinal conditions.
- Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment plans, and preventative measures.
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to all clinical protocols, standards, and guidelines in providing care to patients.
- Stay current with advances in the field of gastroenterology and integrate new techniques and treatments into practice.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing new processes to improve patient outcomes.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to other healthcare team members.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in providing care to patients.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Collaborate with other departments and specialties to provide coordinated care for patients.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and coordinating referrals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the quality of care provided to patients.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the GI Services team.
Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Gastroenterology
Current Certification As A Nurse Practitioner In The State Of Employment
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Nurse Practitioner In A Gastroenterology Setting
Knowledge Of Current Evidence-Based Practices And Guidelines In Gastroenterology
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Physicians, Patients, And Other Healthcare Team Members.
