Highmark Health is seeking an experienced, motivated Operating Room Aide for our busy healthcare facility. We are looking for someone with a passion for patient care who has an understanding of the complexity of the operating room environment. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess strong communication and organizational skills.We are looking for an Operating Room Aide who meets the following qualifications: high school diploma or GED, prior experience in an operating room, knowledge of medical terminology, and the ability to follow safety protocols. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have strong customer service skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize. Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare the operating room for procedures, including setting up equipment and sterilizing instruments.
  2. Assist the surgical team in the operating room by passing instruments and handing sterile supplies.
  3. Maintain the cleanliness of the operating room and ensure that all supplies are replenished in a timely manner.
  4. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality.
  5. Monitor the patient’s vital signs and alert the surgical team of any changes.
  6. Assist in the post-operative care of patients, including cleaning and dressing wounds.
  7. Maintain patient records and provide reports to the surgeon.
  8. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  9. Work with a team of professionals to provide the highest quality of care to patients.
  10. Remain up-to-date on the latest medical technology and procedures.
