Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team at Highmark Health. This individual must have strong technical skills and the ability to provide a safe and effective service to patients in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a great attitude, and the desire to help others. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid certification as a Phlebotomy Technician from an accredited agency. They should also have at least one year of experience in a medical office or laboratory setting. If you have a passion for helping others and are looking for a long-term career in the medical field, then this position may be the perfect fit for you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Draw blood samples from patients in a safe and effective manner.
  2. Label and process samples for testing.
  3. Provide support and information to patients prior to and during the procedure.
  4. Ensure all safety protocols are followed.
  5. Maintain accurate records of all procedures.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  7. Communicate with physicians and laboratory staff.
  8. Assist with other duties as assigned.
