
Phlebotomist
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team at Highmark Health. This individual must have strong technical skills and the ability to provide a safe and effective service to patients in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a great attitude, and the desire to help others. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid certification as a Phlebotomy Technician from an accredited agency. They should also have at least one year of experience in a medical office or laboratory setting. If you have a passion for helping others and are looking for a long-term career in the medical field, then this position may be the perfect fit for you.
Responsibilities:
- Draw blood samples from patients in a safe and effective manner.
- Label and process samples for testing.
- Provide support and information to patients prior to and during the procedure.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate records of all procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate with physicians and laboratory staff.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
