Speech Language Pathologist

Highmark Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will have a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, as well as a valid state license. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on patient care and a commitment to providing exceptional service. The Speech Language Pathologist will also have a strong working knowledge of speech pathology interventions and evidence-based practice. Responsibilities of a Speech Language Pathologist:

1. Provide direct patient care, utilizing evidence-based practice and speech language pathology interventions.
2. Evaluate patients to assess their speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing skills.
3. Develop individualized treatment plans and goals with the patient and their families.
4. Implement clinical treatments and strategies designed to improve patient’s communication and swallowing skills.
5. Collaborate with members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
6. Monitor progress and provide feedback to patients and their families.
7. Keep detailed records of patient assessment, treatments, and progress.
8. Maintain current license in Speech Language Pathology and participate in continuing education as required.
