
Speech Language Pathologist
Highmark Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will have a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, as well as a valid state license. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on patient care and a commitment to providing exceptional service. We are looking for a professional who is passionate about helping others and can work collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team. The Speech Language Pathologist will also have a strong working knowledge of speech pathology interventions and evidence-based practice. Responsibilities of a Speech Language Pathologist:
- Provide direct patient care, utilizing evidence-based practice and speech language pathology interventions.
- Evaluate patients to assess their speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing skills.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals with the patient and their families.
- Implement clinical treatments and strategies designed to improve patient’s communication and swallowing skills.
- Collaborate with members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to patients and their families.
- Keep detailed records of patient assessment, treatments, and progress.
- Maintain current license in Speech Language Pathology and participate in continuing education as required.
Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology
Certificate Of Clinical Competence In Speech-Language Pathology (Ccc-Slp) From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha)
Current State License In Speech-Language Pathology
At Least Two Years Of Clinical Experience In A Hospital Or Outpatient Setting
Experience With Assessment And Treatment Of A Variety Of Speech
