- Perform routine maintenance tasks on all hotel facilities, including guest rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces.
- Identify and troubleshoot any maintenance issues, and make necessary repairs or escalate to the appropriate team member.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the safety and functionality of all equipment, including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance tasks and repairs performed, and report any major issues or concerns to the maintenance manager.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, and properly handle and dispose of any hazardous materials.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete larger maintenance projects, such as renovations or upgrades.
- Respond promptly to guest or staff requests for maintenance assistance, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the maintenance process.
- Attend regular team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on hotel procedures and policies.
- Assist other departments as needed, including housekeeping, front desk, and food and beverage.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude while representing the Hilton brand.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding any maintenance issues or concerns.
- Adhere to all company policies and standards, including dress code and punctuality.
- Stay knowledgeable about the hotel's amenities and services in order to assist guests with any questions or requests.
Prior Experience In General Maintenance: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Hotel Or Hospitality Setting.
Knowledge Of Building Systems And Equipment: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Hvac, Plumbing, Electrical, And Other Building Systems, As Well As Experience With General Repairs And Maintenance.
Strong Problem-Solving Skills: General Maintenance Workers Should Be Able To Quickly Troubleshoot And Resolve Issues That Arise In The Hotel, From Basic Repairs To More Complex Problems.
Attention To Detail: As A General Maintenance Worker, Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Order To Identify And Address Any Potential Safety Hazards Or Maintenance Issues Before They Become Major Problems.
Ability To Work Independently: While General Maintenance Workers May Work As Part Of A Team, They Also Need To Be Self-Motivated And Able To Work Independently, Taking Initiative To Prioritize Tasks And Complete Them Efficiently.
