
Accountant & Goods Receiver

- Maintain accurate financial records for the hotel, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor and track hotel expenses, ensuring they are within budget and in line with company policies.
- Oversee the inventory management process, including receiving, storing, and issuing goods in accordance with hotel standards.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Work closely with the purchasing department to ensure timely and accurate recording of all purchases and stock movements.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and provide input on financial projections for the hotel.
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors to resolve any issues related to orders or deliveries.
- Train and supervise junior accounting and inventory staff members as needed.
- Identify and recommend cost-saving measures to improve the hotel's financial performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in accounting and inventory management.
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or A Related Field: A Strong Educational Background In Accounting Is Essential For This Role, As It Requires A Deep Understanding Of Financial Principles And Practices.
Prior Experience In Accounting And/Or Inventory Management: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Accounting And/Or Goods Receiving, Preferably In A Hotel Or Hospitality Setting.
Proficiency In Accounting Software: Knowledge Of Popular Accounting Software Such As Quickbooks Or Sage Is Necessary To Effectively Manage Financial Transactions And Records.
Attention To Detail And Strong Analytical Skills: As An Accountant And Goods Receiver, Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Accurately Recording And Reconciling Financial Data. Strong Analytical Skills Are Also Necessary For Identifying And Resolving Discrepancies.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills: This Role Requires Frequent Interaction With Other Departments And External Vendors, So Strong Communication And Organizational Skills Are Essential For Effective Collaboration And Coordination.
