We are currently seeking a highly motivated and driven Director of Government Affairs to join our dynamic team. As the Director of Government Affairs, you will play a crucial role in representing our brand and advocating for our interests in government and public policy. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in government relations, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the hospitality industry.   1. Develop and implement strategies to represent Holiday Inn Hotels' interests in government and public policy.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, policymakers, and industry stakeholders.
  3. Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments that may impact the hospitality industry.
  4. Advocate for the company's positions on key issues and legislation at the local, state, and federal levels.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of government affairs efforts with overall business objectives.
  6. Prepare and deliver presentations and written communications to effectively communicate the company's priorities and positions.
  7. Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in government affairs and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  8. Develop and manage a budget for government affairs activities.
  9. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  10. Stay up-to-date on compliance requirements and ensure all government affairs activities are in accordance with laws and regulations.
  11. Provide guidance and support to other team members on government affairs matters.
  12. Monitor and report on relevant legislation and regulatory changes that may impact the company's operations.
  13. Build and maintain a positive reputation for the company in the government and public policy arena.
  14. Maintain regular communication and updates with senior leadership on government affairs activities and developments.
  15. Continuously evaluate and adjust strategies to achieve desired outcomes and mitigate potential risks.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Political Science, Public Policy, Or A Related Field.

  • 5+ Years Of Experience In Government Affairs, Lobbying, Or Advocacy Work.

  • Strong Understanding Of Local, State, And Federal Government Structures And Processes.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Government Officials.

  • Experience In The Hospitality Industry Or A Related Field Is Preferred.
