- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness and functionality of the hotel facilities.
- Respond promptly to guest requests for maintenance services and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular inspections of the hotel premises to identify any potential maintenance or safety hazards.
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities and report any major issues to the management team.
- Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs and ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of guest rooms, common areas, and other hotel facilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment needed for maintenance tasks.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols to ensure the well-being of guests and employees.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills when interacting with guests and colleagues.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve maintenance processes and procedures.
- Comply with all hotel policies, procedures, and standards at all times.
- Train and mentor new maintenance team members as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Basic Education Is Typically Required For A Maintenance Assistant Position, Demonstrating A Level Of Knowledge And Competency In Basic Math, Reading, And Problem-Solving.
Previous Maintenance Experience: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience In Facilities Maintenance Or A Related Field, With A Working Knowledge Of Hvac, Plumbing, Electrical, And General Repair And Maintenance Procedures.
Strong Communication Skills: Maintenance Assistants Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Guests, Colleagues, And Management, Including Providing Updates On Maintenance Issues And Responding To Guest Requests In A Professional And Timely Manner.
Attention To Detail: A Keen Eye For Detail Is Essential In This Role, As Maintenance Assistants Are Responsible For Identifying And Resolving Maintenance Issues Before They Become Larger Problems. This Requires A High Level Of Observation And Problem-Solving Skills.
Ability To Work Independently: While Maintenance Assistants Will Work Closely With The Maintenance Team And Other Hotel Staff, They Must Also Be Able To Work Independently And Prioritize Tasks Effectively To Ensure That All Maintenance Requests Are Addressed In A Timely Manner.
