- Curate and maintain a comprehensive wine list for our hotel's dining outlets, ensuring a diverse and high-quality selection for our guests.
- Provide exceptional service to guests by assisting with wine selections, answering questions, and making recommendations based on their preferences and menu choices.
- Continuously educate and train other staff members on wine knowledge and service techniques to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Stay current on industry trends and new wines, making suggestions for updates and additions to the wine list.
- Conduct regular wine tastings and events to engage guests and promote our hotel's dining offerings.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create wine pairing menus and incorporate wine into seasonal or special menus.
- Maintain proper inventory levels and ensure timely ordering and restocking of wines.
- Oversee the proper storage and handling of wines to maintain their quality and freshness.
- Handle guest complaints or issues related to wine service with professionalism and resolve any conflicts in a timely manner.
- Uphold all hotel policies and procedures, including responsible alcohol service guidelines and safety protocols.
- Foster a positive and welcoming environment for guests and colleagues, promoting teamwork and a strong sense of hospitality.
- Represent the hotel and brand positively in all interactions with guests, colleagues, and industry professionals.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager or other hotel leadership.
Extensive Knowledge Of Wines And Spirits From Various Regions And Countries
Certification From A Reputable Sommelier Program, Such As The Court Of Master Sommeliers Or The Wine & Spirit Education Trust
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills To Assist Guests In Selecting And Pairing Wines With Their Meals
Experience In Managing And Maintaining A Wine Cellar, Including Inventory Management And Wine Tasting Events
Ability To Work Well In A Fast-Paced And High-Pressure Environment, While Maintaining Composure And Professionalism At All Times.
