Advanced Degree In Life Sciences: A Principal Scientist In R&D Assay Development At Hologic Should Possess A Phd Or Equivalent Degree In A Life Science Field Such As Biology, Biochemistry, Or Molecular Biology. This Advanced Degree Serves As A Foundation For The Knowledge And Skills Required For This Role.
Extensive Experience In Assay Development: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Assay Development, Preferably In The Field Of Molecular Diagnostics. This Experience Should Include A Strong Understanding Of Assay Design, Optimization, And Validation.
Team Leadership And Project Management Skills: As A Principal Scientist, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Scientists And Technicians In The Development Of New Assays. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Project Management Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
