Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are currently looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join the Houston Methodist team! The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for providing accounting and administrative support to the Accounts Receivable department. This position requires a motivated and organized teammate, with a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field• At least 2 years of related experience• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel and Word• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skillsIf you are a detail-oriented and organized individual, with a passion for accounting and providing excellent customer service, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

1. Perform accounting processes and procedures related to Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, collections, and payment processing.
2. Manage customer accounts and ensure accuracy of customer information.
3. Maintain records of all financial transactions and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
4. Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner and provide excellent customer service.
5. Assist with preparation of financial reports and analysis.
6. Reconcile customer accounts and ensure accuracy of records.
7. Monitor and maintain Accounts Receivable aging reports.
8. Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve Accounts Receivable operations.
9. Collaborate with other departments to facilitate resolution of customer issues.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
