- Provide advanced clinical care to patients in the Primary Care department.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and accurately diagnose medical conditions.
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in patient care.
- Stay current with advancements and changes in the field of primary care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the department.

Master's Degree In A Relevant Field: Candidates For An Advanced Practice Provider - Primary Care Job At Houston Methodist Should Possess A Master's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Nursing, Physician Assistant Studies, Or Family Practice.
Current State License And Certification: Applicants Should Hold A Current State License And Certification As An Advanced Practice Provider, Such As A Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant License In The State Of Texas.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience: Houston Methodist Prefers Candidates With A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Primary Care Setting, Showcasing Their Ability To Manage A Diverse Patient Population And Handle Complex Medical Cases.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Advanced Practice Provider At Houston Methodist, Effective Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building Relationships With Patients, Collaborating With Other Healthcare Professionals, And Providing Patient Education.
Proficient In Electronic Medical Records (Emr): Candidates Should Be Proficient In Using Electronic Medical Records Systems, As Houston Methodist Utilizes Emr For All Patient Documentation And Communication. Experience With Epic Emr Is Preferred.
