Job Description

Houston Methodist is seeking a qualified and highly motivated Application Analyst - Epic Ambulatory to join our talented team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for healthcare technology and the desire to make a positive impact for the hospital and our patients.The Application Analyst - Epic Ambulatory will be responsible for the day-to-day support of the Epic Ambulatory applications. This position requires a strong background in Epic Ambulatory, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate should have an approachable nature and be able to work with a wide variety of stakeholders.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field• 3+ years of Epic Ambulatory experience and certification• Experience in application build, support, and maintenance• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and project management• Understanding of clinical workflows and processes• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Excellent customer service and technical support skills• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide day-to-day support of the Epic Ambulatory applications
  2. Build, configure, and maintain Epic Ambulatory applications
  3. Design and develop software applications to support clinical workflows
  4. Troubleshoot and diagnose application issues
  5. Provide technical support and customer service to users
  6. Maintain and update documentation
  7. Train users on new applications and processes
  8. Monitor system performance and optimize as needed
  9. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans
  10. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of applications
