Job Description

Houston Methodist is looking for a passionate and experienced Clinical Research Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Clinical Research Specialist is an integral part of our research team, responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of clinical research projects.The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as health sciences, nursing, or public health. Prior experience in clinical research is essential, as is the ability to use data to make informed decisions. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work collaboratively, and have a strong commitment to high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the development and implementation of clinical research projects.
  2. Utilize data to make informed decisions.
  3. Develop, review, and revise protocols and related documents.
  4. Monitor clinical research sites to ensure compliance with research protocols.
  5. Maintain and update clinical research databases and records.
  6. Facilitate communication between research staff and other departments.
  7. Analyze and interpret data to ensure accuracy and validity.
  8. Prepare reports and presentations for management and other stakeholders.
  9. Assist with the development of research budgets and timelines.
  10. Participate in meetings and conferences related to clinical research.
  11. Maintain current knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices related to clinical research.
  12. Ensure patient safety and high-quality care is maintained throughout the research process.
