Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Clinical Research Specialist - Transplant to join our team at Houston Methodist. The ideal candidate has a passion for clinical research and working with transplant patients and their families. This position requires an individual with excellent communication and organizational skills who can work both independently and collaboratively. The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, a minimum of three years of clinical research experience, and a demonstrated knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. Understanding of the Regulatory Affairs process and the ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously is also required. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SPSS, database systems, and web-based research study management tools is essential. Responsibilities:

  1. Design, implement, and manage clinical research projects in the field of transplantation.
  2. Develop and maintain GCP guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  3. Establish protocols, create data collection forms, and monitor all research activities.
  4. Review and analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations.
  5. Create and maintain databases for storing and tracking research information.
  6. Train and supervise research staff, ensuring they are up-to-date on the latest industry standards and protocols.
  7. Prepare and present research findings at meetings and conferences.
  8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines.
  9. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure successful project completion.
  10. Provide support and assistance to transplant patients and their families.
