
Coding Charges & Denials Specialist
Houston Methodist is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Coding Charges & Denials Specialist with the ability to analyze and interpret billing information to join our team! Our ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of medical coding and reimbursement standards as well as experience working with health insurance companies. This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities of a Coding Charges & Denials Specialist:
- Analyze and interpret billing information to ensure accuracy and compliance with coding and reimbursement standards.
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable medical coding regulations and updates.
- Monitor and review coding and reimbursement standards to ensure compliance.
- Work with health insurance companies to resolve coding and reimbursement issues.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Utilize computer applications, including Microsoft Office, to efficiently complete tasks.
- Review and reconcile coding reports, billing documents, and other records.
- Prepare and submit coding claims and appeals as necessary.
- Monitor coding and reimbursement trends and recommend changes for improvement.
- Assist with any additional billing and coding tasks as needed.

Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Anatomy
Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Or Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Certification
Knowledge Of Coding Guidelines And Regulations
