Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist to join our team at the Houston Methodist Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality mental health care to our patients in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with a dedication to patient-centered care. A successful Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist with us should have a strong knowledge of evidence-based practices and a commitment to providing the best possible care for our patients.The minimum qualifications for this position include:- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited medical school - Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program - Board certification or eligibility for board certification in Psychiatry - Possession of or eligibility for a Texas Medical License - Current CPR certification - Demonstrated understanding of the ethical, legal, and professional standards related to the practice of psychiatry If you have the qualifications and passion necessary to excel in this role, we invite you to join our team and make a difference in the lives of our patients.

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Provide high-quality mental health care to patients in a collaborative environment
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to ensure best possible care for patients
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients and other healthcare providers
  • Coordinate treatment plans with other healthcare providers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Maintain a current Texas Medical License and CPR certification
  • Adhere to ethical, legal, and professional standards related to the practice of psychiatry
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current on best practices and trends in psychiatry
