Job Description

At Houston Methodist, we are looking for an experienced and compassionate EMT Paramedic to join our team and provide life-saving medical care to our patients. In this role, you will be responsible for responding to medical emergencies and providing care to critically ill and injured patients. You will be expected to assess and manage the patient’s condition in the field, administer medications, and utilize advanced medical equipment to provide life-saving care.The successful candidate for this position must have a valid EMT-Paramedic certification, a valid BLS certification, and at least one year of experience in the field. In addition, you must possess excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Respond to medical emergencies and provide care to critically ill and injured patients.
  2. Assess and manage the patient’s condition in the field.
  3. Administer medications as necessary.
  4. Utilize advanced medical equipment to provide life-saving care.
  5. Maintain valid EMT-Paramedic certification, BLS certification, and one year of experience in the field.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and medical personnel.
  7. Utilize excellent assessment and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
  8. Remain organized and detail-oriented while providing care.
  9. Demonstrate a passion for helping others.
