Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Lead MRI Technologist to join the Houston Methodist family! The right candidate will have excellent clinical and technical skills, as well as strong leadership and management abilities. They will possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively and efficiently complete all tasks. The Lead MRI Technologist will provide supervision and mentoring to MRI Technologists while ensuring the highest quality patient care is provided.The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of MRI experience in a clinical setting, with knowledge of MRI equipment and software, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. They will have a current ARRT certification in MRI, and must be a registered Radiologic Technologist in the state of Texas. Additionally, the Lead MRI Technologist must have a current BLS certification.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and mentor MRI Technologists to provide the highest quality patient care.
  2. Maintain a safe and secure work environment.
  3. Ensure that MRI equipment and software is functioning properly and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  4. Monitor and evaluate MRI Technologists performance and provide feedback.
  5. Ensure compliance with current state and federal regulations and standards.
  6. Develop and implement protocols and procedures related to MRI services.
  7. Communicate effectively with other staff members and patients.
  8. Maintain current ARRT certification in MRI and BLS certification.
  9. Stay current with the latest advances in MRI technology and techniques.
