- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with cancer, including diagnosing and treating various types of cancer and managing symptoms and side effects.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in oncology treatment and participate in continuing education to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and document all findings accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support throughout their cancer journey.
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and standards of medical practice, including maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Make evidence-based decisions and use critical thinking skills to provide the best possible care to patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and strive to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and staff.
- Contribute to the overall success of the oncology department by actively participating in department meetings, committees, and other initiatives.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for other healthcare professionals, including residents and fellows, to promote a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Adhere to Houston Methodist's mission, vision, and values and promote a culture of patient-centered care, compassion, and excellence.
- Continuously evaluate and strive to improve personal performance and patient outcomes.
- Maintain a valid medical license in the state of Texas and fulfill all necessary continuing education requirements.
Board Certification In Medical Oncology From The American Board Of Internal Medicine.
Completed A Fellowship In Medical Oncology From An Accredited Institution.
Extensive Experience In Diagnosing And Treating Various Types Of Cancer, Including Solid Tumors And Blood Cancers.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients And Their Families.
Demonstrated Ability To Work Well In A Multidisciplinary Team, Collaborating With Other Specialists Such As Surgeons, Radiation Oncologists, And Nurses.
