Job Description

At Houston Methodist, we are looking for a caring, organized, and detail-oriented MRI Technologist to join our team! As an integral part of our imaging team, the MRI Technologist will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our hospital's patient care and operation.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Radiologic Technology degree or equivalent from an accredited program, along with a minimum of two years of MRI experience. They will also need to possess a valid certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Responsibilities: • Perform MRI scans on patients in accordance with established protocols and safety measures • Ensure that MRI equipment is operated safely and accurately • Maintain patient records, including patient history, test results, and images • Monitor patient safety and comfort during MRI scans • Educate and orient patients on MRI safety protocols and procedures • Maintain a clean and organized MRI work area • Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other medical personnel • Follow all safety protocols and procedures • Follow hospital policies and procedures • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities • Maintain current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best practices
