
Occupational Therapist Assistant
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our award-winning team at Houston Methodist. As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions to patients, caregivers, and families as prescribed by the Occupational Therapist.The ideal candidate will have a friendly and helpful attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. You must have an Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program, along with an Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of Texas. Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions to patients, caregivers, and families as prescribed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude toward all patients, caregivers, and families.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain a valid Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of Texas.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Utilize therapeutic techniques and activities to improve patient physical, mental, and emotional functions.
- Document patient treatment plans, progress, and outcomes.
- Attend and participate in team meetings and departmental activities.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
