Patient Sitter

Houston Methodist is looking for compassionate, dedicated individuals to join our team as Patient Sitters. The Patient Sitter provides attentive and vigilant monitoring of assigned patients and responds to patient requests while maintaining a safe environment. The ideal candidate will have a caring attitude and strong communication skills, as well as the ability to provide attentive and vigilant care for patients.To be successful in this role, you must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent, and previous experience providing patient care. Additionally, you must have a demonstrated understanding of patient safety practices, with the ability to recognize and respond to emergency situations appropriately. Responsibilities:

1. Monitor assigned patients and respond to patient requests in a timely and safe manner.

5. Communicate effectively to patients and other healthcare staff.
6. Follow hospital policies and procedures.
7. Provide compassionate care to those in need.
8. Document patient care activities.
